Dumbledore

So far I seem to be the only person who hasn't had an opinion on Dumbledore being gay. Why? Because I really don't see why it should be an issue.

Some people are criticising JK Rowling for not explicitly mentioning Dumbledore's sexuality in the book and using it to fight the corner for gay people, others are congratulating her on making a huge advances towards acceptance of homosexuality across the globe. Has it occurred to any of these people that perhaps the reason why we only just found out that Dumbledore is gay, is that it isn't a big deal. How lovely to have finally found a piece of fiction where a character's homosexuality is neither there just to be politically correct, provide humour or to drive the storyline. Dumbledore just happens to be gay, that's that.
