Bisexual online dating issues

Over the years I've found that putting "bisexual" on an online dating resume hampers your chances of finding a suitable partner of either gender. Declaring that I fancy women does cause a slight increase in attention from men, but not of the welcome variety, whilst declaring that I like men sees a drop in attention from women.

I've given up online dating for the moment, but if I decide to revisit that game, I'd be tempted to post two separate monosexual profiles. However why should I hide my sexuality just because other people misunderstand what it means to be bisexual?

Pretending to be something you're not in a relationship, has to be a recipe for disaster. Still, it's temping to hide my sexuality until such a time as I get to explain what it really means to me.

If only people could just go around falling for other people, without gender having to be such a big deal.

I was looking at Guardian Soulmates - it costs an absolute fortune.

Since I neither seek a soulmate nor read the Guardian I'm wasting my time on there anyway...
